Partnerships Director

New Lab is a community of designers, engineers and entrepreneurs leveraging advanced technologies to create meaningful new products. We welcome corporations and foundations into our space to broadcast ideas, host small innovation and skunkworks teams, and to interact with and learn from our community.

The Partnerships Director is responsible for generating new business revenue with corporations and public sector organizations through the integrated packaging of New Lab products. This role is also responsible for account management, as well as the overall management of existing corporate partnerships including creating value-added opportunities and mutually beneficial activation programs within New Lab.

  • A creative strategist with extensive experience building strategic partnerships with corporate and public sector clients.
  • Experience working with leading brands and innovation strategists, especially in the emerging technologies fields. You have relationships you can carry with you to New Lab.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Drive revenue for New Lab through identifying, developing, and closing partnerships in line with current product strategies.
  • Maintain a rigorous attention to detail and dedicated account management strategies for our partners.
  • Contribute to thought leadership, program design, and expert consulting for New Lab partners
  • Own full sales cycle for prospective partners, from initial discovery through program execution.
  • Design, prepare and present proposals to corporate decision makers
  • Manage expense budgets related to the implementation and execution of corporate partnership agreements
  • Prepare weekly sales activity, pipeline and revenue forecasting reports.
  • Research, prospect, prioritize and track leads for corporate relationships
  • Support existing relationships and provide value to all of New Lab’s partners. This includes planning new and innovative ways to integrate partners into the community.
  • Collaborate with New Lab team members in products, marketing, operations, events, to ensure effective service delivery and to integrate the team into our partnerships strategy.
  • Conduct research to identify new markets and industry sectors, conducting in-depth business analysis to identify new competitive opportunities
  • Work in conjunction with Operations to close corporate membership contracts
  • Manage Partnerships Manager to specified goals and OKRs for the role.

 

Required Knowledge/Skills/Job Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skill, and Ability

  • Minimum of 5 or more years of corporate partnership sales experience.
  • Superior knowledge regarding the practices and principles related to the sale and implementation of corporate partnership.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with corporate clients and coworkers.
  • Proven track record of effectively negotiating significant business agreements and developing business relationships that impact company performance
  • Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task with excellent organization skills – Pays attention to both details and macro-level outcomes
  • Strategic sales planning
  • Experience with B2B based partnerships in several industry sectors
  • An expansive network of clients where you have sold corporate solutions in the past
  • Strong internal and external communicator with strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with the use of CRM’s (Salesforce)
  • Ability to perform under pressure and provide timely solutions
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrates concern for thoroughness and accuracy
